In this workshop Meagan will deconstruct the art of the inversion and learn prerequisite movements and drills that will help you safely begin your journey to headstand, forearm stand, or maybe even handstand. Even if you never want to go upside down you will still learn valuable information about your body and drills to make you stronger for your yoga practice at any level. But most importantly, we will explore and play and have fun!
Megan started practicing inversions years ago when she quickly realized that inversions were made up of many smaller components and when broken down and worked on individually, it made progressing into the actual inversion much more attainable. There are many benefits to practicing inversions: improves circulation, it stimulates the lymphatic system, improves balance and stability, proprioception, core and shoulder strength. But inversions can be a little intimidating and it’s hard to know where to even start!

Join Judy for this 2 hour interactive workshop that will cover the basics of Yoga & give you a solid foundation on which to build your Yoga practice. You will be introduced to standing, seated, prone, supine & balance postures along with modifications & variations & how to use props. We will focus on the importance of breath & incorporating breath with movement. You will apply many of the things you learn during the last ½ hour of the workshop with a short Yoga class. You will leave prepared to start on your Yoga journey.

Reiki is a Japanese technique to promote healing and aid in stress reduction. It brings the mind, body and soul into alignment. This is an intimate three to four hour class that is taught in one day. This class covers the history of Reiki, a basic overview of the nature of Reiki energy, principles of Reiki healing, basic overview of the Chakra system, self-healing techniques and the level one Reiki attunement. This is your initiation into the Reiki energy and includes an energy cleansing ceremony, course manual and Level One certificate.

Did somebody say chakras? Any idea what they are?
And what have they got to do with feeling out of balance, burnt out or lost? Pretty much EVERYTHING!
There are seven main points in the body that are believed to be vortexes of energy, each with their own vibration and meaning. When energy becomes stuck within a chakra, it can manifest as mental, physical and emotional imbalances from physical symptoms within the body to emotional outbursts and feelings. Scared of speaking up? Your throat chakra is imbalanced. Worried about money all the time? Your base chakra needs some attention. Don’t feel good enough? Your solar plexus needs some support.
Paige Ward a Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master Teacher from Pace Wellness Center designed this workshop to help you learn about your Chakras in a more simplistic manner. She will explore with you what each chakra is and what it represents in your life, the emotional meaning behind each chakra, the physical imbalances and how to read and balance your Chakras.
Learn the basics of Yoga or refresh your practice.
This 6 session workshop will cover standing, seated, prone, supine & balancing postures, modifications & variations of poses including using props & incorporating breath with movement. All sessions will end with relaxation. This class will prepare you with knowledge of Yoga & the different class styles we offer & allow you to comfortably make Yoga a part of your routine.
Sessions will be held on Thursdays at 4:30pm starting August 23rd through September 27th.
