Curious to know what Ayurveda is? Join Wendy for this informative workshop and learn basic foundational principles of Ayurveda (Life-Science). 

Ayurveda is 5000 year old ancient wisdom of lifestyle and medicine that originated in India.  Learn about the five universal elements that comprise all of nature and also our unique individualized physiology.  Topics covered as follows:

* Why Ayurveda for health, wellness and prevention of chronic disease.
* Five Mahabutas (elements) and how they comprise the basis of our individualized constitutions ( Vata-Pitta-Kapha).
*  Know your dosha quiz and Prakriti evaluations
*  Generalized tridoshic guidelines for diet, routine, exercise, sleep, environment and lifestyle.
*  Importance of the foundation of self referral, meditation, cause and consciousness and their direct effects on the physiology.
*  Causative factors that contribute to imbalance in the body related to diet, patterns and lifestyle.
*  Definition of Ojas and bliss versus imbalance / vikriti in the physiology.
*  Second half of class will include gentle yoga practice based on Maharishi Ayurveda, breath work and meditation.
